| | Rockford, IL The Bergmann Center (formerly BVRH) serves people of all ages with special needs in the Rockford area.  We were initially contacted to master plan and produce a schematic architectural package for a future expansion, but during design sessions with the client, it became apparent that the current facility was inadequately designed and that future operations would be compromised, so we revamped the entire facility and planned for a large expansion.   The new design resulted in a substantially more efficient and successful plan to meet their program's entire future needs.    The site, which was very constricted site due to drainage issues, roads, and adjoining neighbors now includes:  2 indoor arenas, 2 mounting areas, 1 outdoor arena, 30 stalls, 10 grooming stalls, vet area, feed and storage areas, 2 wash stalls, tack room, spectator seating, observation room, offices, reception, classrooms, therapy rooms, rest rooms, employee lounge and service areas and parking. Existing improvements on the site include a single-family residence converted to administrative offices and conference facility.     Back to Equestrian Projects Back to Main Menu | | |
