Chico, CA
Seth Harry and Associates, working with New Urban Builders, provided urban planning and design services for this mixed-use traditional neighborhood, originally designed by Leon Krier, and ongoing implementation and development consultant services. The project has been designed with a range of housing types, sizes and prices, a mix of civic and commercial
uses, and a fine-grained network of context-sensitive streets.
Seth Harry and Associates designed elevations for all the buildings surrounding the central piazza. The majority of the buildings, including the market building and tower, were designed in the Mediterranean style, with stucco walls and tile roofs. The movie theater was designed in an Art Deco style, and is located above a parking deck access from a plaza off the main piazza.
