Seth Harry and Associates, was asked to create a redevelopment Master Plan and implementation Strategy for the City of Burien, Washington, approximately 10 miles south of Seattle.
The part of the City in question was an obsolete and dramatically underperforming suburban strip commercial area adjacent to the Town’s historic main street.
Seth Harry and Associates, along with local engineering consultant KPG, undertook a complete redevelopment of the town’s Main Street, and its comprehensive Master Plan. The revitalization strategy allowed the City to attract a development interest, which undertook the redevelopment of the entire downtown core into a new, walkable mixed-use center, consistent with the original vision, including a new City Hall and library.
