WEMPLE CROSSROADS Albany, NY

Wemple Corners is a suburban infill TND development based upon the principles of a small crossroads community and mixed-use commercial center, typical of the rural community types in upstate New York.

This project uses creative urban design strategies to allow a conventional grocery-anchored shopping center to “colonize” a rural intersection in a more traditional urban form, to provide locally-serving goods and services to the adjoining TND community, as well as nearby conventional suburban neighborhoods.
