Seth Harry and Associates, working with New Urban Builders, provided urban planning and design services for this mixed-use traditional neighborhood, originally designed by Leon Krier, and ongoing implementation and development consultant services.
The project is comprised of a number of traditional neighborhoods, with a mix of housing types, sizes, and price points in a setting of slow-speed neighborhood streets. The civic and commercial center will be the heart and creative center of Meriam Park, and will include shops and restaurants, office buildings, and a range of civic spaces and places.
Neighborhoods will contain a range of small parks, playgrounds, and greens, located within a 3-4 minute walk of every home and designed for informal gatherings and play. The Creekside Greenway and Habitat Preserve will enhance the 20-acre Little Chico Creek greenway and the preserve 40-acres of sensitive habitat for endangered species.
