WEALTHY-JEFFERSON NEIGHBORHOOD Grand Rapids, MI

Seth Harry and Associates was selected to assist ICCF (Inner City Christian Federation) and its strategic partner, Rockford Companies, in creating a healthy, vibrant, mixed-income, urban neighborhood in the Wealthy-Jefferson community, consistent with ICCF's long-term commitment and ongoing community development in the area.

The first phase of construction includes these two mixed-use buildings, designed by Seth Harry and Associates. The buildings have the same floor plans, but different exterior designs. The ground floor has retail space at the front, and loft units at the back. The second and third floor each contain six residential units.

The buildings are part of a master plan that begins to restore the original fabric of the neighborhood. These buildings, as called for in the master plan, have a generous sidewalk to support pedestrian activity and shield a parking lot in the back.
